FOCUS

As Christians, we accept the Bible's description of itself (2 Timothy 3:16-17) as being "God-breathed and useful for teaching, correcting, rebuking and training in righteousness so that the man of God can be equipped for every good work."  It is therefore important that we allow God's Word to teach us how we should think about every aspect of life, and how we should behave in all situations.  That's what FOCUS is all about.

This event runs twice each year (in June and October) and allows us to FOCUS on a particular issue that we face in life.  There are presentations on the subject matter which are built upon Biblical foundations, and each time there is some opportunity for group discussion or feedback.

Since FOCUS was established in 2009, we have looked at Fatherhood, Setting Priorities, Islam and Children and the Internet.  We have also taken the opportunity to host presentations from two of our mission link partners; Dr Ruth Huelser working with CMS in Tabora, Tanzania, and Chris and Ros Smith, working with OMF in the Philippines.

If you have a particular issue you would like discussed, do please let us know.
