Thursday!

Cor! Another day gone already!  We missed Buzz Brain today because he couldn't come to talk to us.  Still, he told Mark to tell us that if we had a big enough pond and we threw the planet Saturn into it, it would probably float!  One of the children reckoned that was because Saturn is surrounded by rubber rings!  (This was just one of the jokes that came into our Space Capsule today.)

The Bible story was a bit thought-provoking today.  After King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, King Belshazzar came to the throne. He wasn't a good king at all.  In fact, he was pretty selfish and arrogant.  Where Nebuchadnezzar had respected God, Belshazzar showed no respect at all.  In fact, one night he held a lavish party and used the sacred plates and goblets from the Jersualem Temple as if they were just ordinary things. What happened next was quite extraordinary.

I could tell you more, but it's probably best if you read the story for yourself here.  Let's just say that Belshazzar found out it is not wise to disrepect God.

We cracked a space code to find a secret message from Buzz Lightyear, ran around outside in a specially adapted space version of the game "North/South/East/West", and sang some cool songs about how special we are to God, including one which reminded us that God loves us so much that he sent Jesus so we can be forgiven for the wrong we do and become his friends.

We're looking forward to tomorrow when we can show all our parents and others what we've been doing.
