Wednesday!

Our third day at the Space Academy and we found out what the children are really made of.  We had some amazing craft and tackled some difficult puzzles.  The children are really beginning to feel at home here and the leaders are coping well!

Today has been full of action.  The rain held off and we took full advantage, throwing bean bags at the statues we prepared earlier (yesterday).  We also brought back an old favourite: the Wotsit Beard game!  The songs were top notch and helped us remember just how big our God is.

The information provided by the scientists about the universe was staggering.  Did you know the sun is moving around the edge of the Milky Way galaxy at about 500 million miles per hour? Or that the nearest black hole is around 1000 light-years from earth?  God must have had such a laugh making this lot!

We also revisited Daniel's three friends and found out just how they dealt with another big problem.  Instead of bowing down to a statue, the three men defied the king, held strong to their God and were saved - even in the middle of a white hot furnace!
